Jasper means bearer of fortune! Bert after the great AQHA Hall of Fame Quarter Horse Stallion Bert (AQHA Hall of Fame Peter McCue)! There are just no words to describe the beauty of this boy!! He is foundation Quarter Horse at its finest, with greats such as AQHA Hall of Fame great producer of roping horses, Oklahoma Star in his genes.
His daddy Graggs Quickenu aka "Blue" was here on the ranch for 22 years. He passed this last year at the age of 26. He was a super special big blue roan stallion. One like no other! He was known for producing outstanding proven ranch and roping colts and passing his amazing, kind and gentle disposition on to all his offspring. It was typical to be looking for one of the grands and find them out in the lot grooming on Blue. He loved the kids and loved to be loved on!
Jasper is a big, stout, beautiful up and coming 2022 blue roan stallion. He is quick! He is trainable! He is talented! He is sweet! He is extremely smart! He has a big personality! He is an eye catcher! HE IS GORGOEUS! He is a special young man and we here a the Quarter KZ are very proud of him! Meet Our Trainer
We are very proud to have partnered with Tanner and Kassandra Scott, Scott Equine Services of Stuart, Oklahoma for all our training needs. They have two beautiful little girls that are very much involved with horses from giving baths, grooming, training, to running barrels. The Scotts are really considered family, more so than our trainers. We have sent 6 horses to them in the last year and a half. They are very unique and set apart from many other trainers I have come across in the search for the right fit for our program. We want our horses to be well rounded. We don't just want arena and stall horses, because we all know there is life after the arena. Tanner being a roper and Kassandra having ran barrels growing up leaves them with the knowledge to be able to take a horse to the next level or even to trouble shoot an issue a horse may be having. The Scotts have the resources to be able to haul horses to many types of events, put them in many types of situations to desensitize, property to ride in the hills, pastures, creeks, work and gather cattle, exposure to live roping, steer gathering, sorting, barrels and so much more. They do a fantastic job at teaching the horses patience, confidence, tolerance and trust. They believe in our program and we believe in their ability! We here at the Quarter KZ want to set our horses up for success in the arena and after the arena. Tanner and Kassandra are perfect for the job!!

Quick Eyed Bert "Jasper" has opened his books for the 2026 breeding, providing an exceptional outcross for modern bloodlines. Jasper is dual register with the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and Foundation Quarter Horse Association (FQHA) carrying a strong 95%.
Jasper is from our own lineage that produces top-notch ranch horses and is now excelling in roping. With intelligence, and color, Jasper is ideal for approved mares in the introductory year. Retired performers, producers and breeders seeking to raise their own show stock are encouraged to inquire! Jasper will be enrolled in incentives as his foals mature.

AQHA Black Gelding Graces Quickenu "JR"

JR, this gorgeous black gelding, is versatility at its FINEST! Super sweet disposition! He does any type of ranch work, pasture roping, ranch rodeo, head and a heel. He is so versatile that when Tanner and Kassandra's 8 years old daughter's mare came up lame the day of a barrel race JR stepped in and ran some barrels, see pictures in the gallery below! He will do anything you ask of him, he truly has a heart of gold! He is our pride and joy! The family horse that he is; the kids, grandkids and cousins all have learned to ride on him. Visiting with a gentleman the other day he said "That JR is above all, what I love about him is Tanner can step off of him from roping or working and an 8 year old can crawl up on him and go run barrels on him...he knows and he will do anything you ask of him and that's priceless". That's how we like our horses!!! What a compliment!
JR is currently making his team roping and show debut this year in the arena! Big plans for this beauty!
